Helping Kids Build Belonging in a Disconnected World

PRESENTED BY SHERI GAZITT, TEEN WISE

April 23rd, 6:30pm PST

Loneliness is rising even among kids and teens who appear surrounded by people. This presentation helps parents recognize the hidden signs of social disconnection and understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Parents will gain practical strategies to help their kids build real friendships, reach out when they feel isolated, and develop a stronger sense of belonging. We’ll also explore how true connection acts as a protective factor, reducing the risks of substance abuse and other harmful coping behaviors. A powerful session for any parent who wants to strengthen family bonds and help their kids feel seen, valued, and connected.

We will cover:
• Spotting the hidden signs
• Understanding connection as prevention
• Strengthening family bonds
• Supporting positive peer relationships
• Guiding kids to reach out
